Project Animator/Development Worker

As part of the process of identifying opportunities in the sector, Louth Leader Partnership intends to engage a suitable candidate on a part-time basis to animate the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 in Co. Louth.   The programme has a significant budget allocation under the Local Development Strategy with the aim of supporting Economic, Social Inclusion and Environmental projects across Co. Louth through the process of engagement and participation at local community, social, environment and economic development levels.

We wish to recruit an individual with relevant experience who will work in conjunction with the Rural Development Programme team and Working Groups to identify projects that would be eligible for funding under the Rural Development Programme.

The successful applicant will:

 

  • Have considerable project development experience in a rural context

 

  • Be a highly motivated self starter as well as an excellent team worker

 

  • Have experience working with community groups

 

  • Have first class communication and motivation skills

 

  • Have excellent report writing skills

 

  • Have the ability to Work closely with potential and existing project promoters, be it individuals, community groups, or specific interest groups who wish to apply for eligible, sustainable, rural development projects

 

  • Work closely with the Rural Development Project Team, RDP Sub-Group and the Louth Local Action Group

 

  • Have a relevant third level qualification or equivalent experience

 

  • Full Driving Licence

 

  • Fully Tax Compliant

 The contract will be for 12 months on a part-time basis (2 days per week) and the successful applicant will work in conjunction with the Rural Development Team.
